A long time ago, a renowned rainmaker was murdered on a hill in remote Ango Village. After the incident, it rained for 100 days and washed everything in the village away. Villagers built a roadside shrine dedicated to the dead rainmaker in hopes of calming his wrath. The rains miraculously stop, but, rocks fall from the sky every time it rains. One day, statue from the shrine is mysteriously stolen, and rocks are falling even thought it's not Raining. A few days later, they discover that gigantic meteor is approaching which destroy the entire village.

The Village is a BBC television drama created and written by Peter Moffat. Consisting of two six-episode series, Moffat envisioned the project as a 42-hour televised epic. The first series covers the years 1914 to 1920; the second continued the story into the 1920s. However, it was not commissioned for a third series. This epic drama charts the turbulent times experienced by one English village throughout the 20th century.One man, Bert Middleton, lives across the entire 100-year period, and his story from boyhood to old age forms the crux of the programme's story, as told through flashbacks as Bert reminisces while being interviewed in the present day by a director making a documentary about the elderly man and his village. Among the events Bert recounts is being smitten at the age of 12 by beautiful Martha Lane, whose family had just arrived in the village, an event that would change his world forever.

In a once-scenic village now dominated by a vast trash disposal site, a young man yearns to break free from a cruel fate tying him to the very grounds.

'L'Alqueria Blanca’ ('The White Village') proposes a journey through time, up to the 1960s, which reflects the life of an inland village, in the Alcoià county. The atmosphere is eminently rural and is marked by the great differences between the two most representative families of the place, the Falcó and the Pedreguer, who star in a series of stories with love above the class difference, envy, jealousy and scandal. It all comes down to some unstoppable advances in society.
